To disable the child lock, you'll first press the Door Lock button. While still holding that button down, use a second finger to press the Volume button. While still holding those buttons down, use a third finger to hold the Mute button. Once you're holding all three of those buttons, once the unit beeps three times, the lock will be disabled. Also, you'll want to make sure the clock on the unit has been set prior to doing this unlocking sequence. I hope this clarifies the process.
