• It really is a soft close door. If I forget and just close the door it is a soft click. Can also mute the beeps, which is why I bought this microwave. Love it.

• It’s definitely quieter that other microwaves I’ve owned when closing the door. Doesn’t have that “bang” sound but it’s not totally silent. It lives up to its soft close name.
