• No, there is no timer only function on the Breville® BMO650 Compact Wave™ Soft Close Microwave.

• Short answer: No. A timer is feature I would have expected in any microwave so I didn't research that before my purchase. The lack of that feature would not have affected my decision to purchase the product: I just use the timer function on my cell phone. I really like this machine. The clincher for me was the absence of a numeric keypad. The keypad on my prior machine was blistered to the point that I couldn't read the numbers or functions. Now I just dial in the desired cooking time and press "start."
