“The space between my granite countertops and my kitchen cabinets is 18”. Would this unit be safe or would a smaller unit be wiser?”

• Mine was 18”, too. This unit is over 20”, so I had to move it to another counter. The smaller Breville fit perfectly in my 18” space, but it broke. I decided to go with this larger unit to get all the extra functions.

• The exterior dimensions of the Breville® BOV845 Smart Oven® Pro are (W) 18.5” x (D) 16” x (H) 11.25”. In addition, for proper ventilation while in operation, it is recommended that there be 4 inches of space on all sides and 6 inches over head.

• My unit is 10.5 inches tall. The instructions say to keep a minimum distance if 6” above and 4” sides of appliance. So, sounds like you should be fine! I have 18,5 inches between counter and cabinets!
