We do not recommend installing our toaster ovens into cabinetry or mounting as they require 4 inches of clearance on all sides for proper ventilation and as they are not insulated appliances.

The Breville manual says you need a clearance of at least 6 inches above and 4 inches on either side of the unit. So, 5 inch clearance will be insufficient.

I do not think it's a good idea to put the oven in a cabinet because it emits a lot of heat and could be dangerous.
