what is ths option 'proof' mean? is it like steam? null

The proof function of the oven doesn't make steam but holds a steady temperature for bread rising.

It holds low temps providing a ideal environment for proofing breads, rolls pizza and other doughs. So they can rise.

This is an option for ‘proofing’ bread dough. It’s for letting bread dough rise.

Proofing (also called proving or more rarely blooming), as the term is used by bakers, is the final rise of shaped bread dough before baking. It refers to a specific rest period within the more generalized process known as fermentation.How long should it take? A lean, moist dough in a warm kitchen will probably rise in 45 minutes or less. A firmer dough with less moisture will take longer to rise. Yeast is very sensitive to temperature; even a few degrees less in the kitchen can extend the rise time significantly. Because this oven has a poof setting the oven can be set to make sure the dough inside of it is at the correct temperature. Good luck with your new oven and happy baking.

This is a low heat setting used when baking breads etc. specifically a period of time when the product is left to rise prior to baking. Useful in cold weather when room temperature may be too low for optimal fermentation (rise).

I have not read that clause you mentioned, however this particular Model (Smart Oven Air) certainly has every option imaginable already. A counter top oven steam feature would have no useful application in my opinion. We just got this oven and so far we're impressed. The only question will be is how durable and how long will it hold up?
