When the microwave is in the process of cooking, it actually senses the moisture/steam that is given off from the food and makes adjustments to the power level and cooking times. It is a wonderful microwave, and probably the best I've ever used. I think you will enjoy it.

Please try again later.It is not physical insertable sensor, but rather, a moisture release sensor which detects the amount of heat and moisture being given off in the chamber. It will automatically adjust the time based on the detected moisture and thus prevent overcooking.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Breville® BMO850 Smooth Wave™ Microwave does not have heat sensors that will increase or decrease power. It does, however sense steam and use that to fluctuate the power as needed.
