“So the Best Buy site says it's Google Cloud Print compatible for chromebook printing, but the model doesn't come up when looking for setup. Did I get scammed again by an incorrect Best Buy online spec description?”

The printer does not have any Chromebook drivers but you can print from Google Cloud Print.
