The toner is located behind the front cover. Yes, it is easy to replace. Remove the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly from the machine. Push down the green lock lever and take the toner cartridge out of the drum unit. Unpack the new toner cartridge and remove the protective cover. Push the new toner cartridge firmly into the drum unit until you hear it lock into place. Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the green tab from left to right and right to left several times. Please try again later.Pretty easy to change...takes longer to open the packaging then to change it!!! ok, so in the front where the printed paper comes out and below that it says "Brother" put your hands just around the edge to the sides like an inch and there are some indentations on each side ...pull them down like a flap and theres the toner cartridge. Doesn't take ANY force to do it...really easy, , a soda can takes more force to open! then grab it and slide the toner cartridge out towards you!
