A:AnswerDear Confused26;
This is a common question. You can visit the Brother website at https://www.brother-usa.com/ for software downloads. I do this all the time. Updates happen each day, so opening the box and pulling out an older CD isn't your best bet. Download it, install, it, and enjoy.
Best of luck,
Consultant Brian
A:AnswerYES; the paper tray has a button towards the back of the paper tray that when depressed allows the back of the paper tray to be extended to accommodate legal size paper. When the tray is placed back in the bottom of the printer it actually extends out the back of the printer slightly. It sounds a little funky but works quite well.
The only drawback to the HL-L2395DW is the copy/scan glass on the top of the printer will NOT accommodate legal size paper. This is not a problem for me as I virtually never use legal size paper (as in once every few years).
I hope this helps!
A:AnswerI answered this a couple days ago. I'm using a iMac using OS 10.13.3. At that time I was using usb. Now I'm using wi fi. It connected within min's with no problems. I'd recommend the Wi Fi connection because once it can access the internet it get a firmware update and more functions are available. No issues with Sierra.
A:AnswerIt has this thing about when the cartridge gets low. They will send you a new one. You just have to sign up for it. When the printer cartridge gets low printer will send out a message to ship a new one. Nice to have so you will never run out.
A:AnswerMight not be the printer. I have a Brother HL-3750OW laser and a Brother J68ODWInk Jet and get the same large black on the right of the page on both. Brother support could not provide an answer.
A:AnswerBlue Tooth is a protocol between two devices, like a mouse and a computer or a computer and speakers or a cell phone and speakers. When the two devices are locked-in together, they are called "paired."
WiFi is a network that is usually present in a home, a business, a sporting stadium, or a Starbucks. The network lets multiple devices interact with each other and, especially, the Internet. W WiFi network typically has a wire from outside connected to a modem and the modem in turn is connected to a router. The router(s) propagates the WiFi radio signals that allow your devices to communicate with each other.
I suspect what you want is a WiFi printer, but you need a WiFi network in your environment (home) for the WiFi feature to work. If you access the Internet wirelessly in your home, I suspect you have such a network in place. If so, the network will have a password that you will need to bring the printer into the network when you set it up.
A:AnswerYes, you can. You have to select how you want to submit your documents (ex. One page into one file or multiple pages into one file). Then, you'll need to feed one page at a time upside down into the glass. Press ok and wait for the beep to let you know your page is done, open the top and feed another page, and click Continue. That will tell the printer that you are not done feeding your documents. I submitted 7 pages and they were grouped into one file. I sent it to my e-mail and it worked very well. I hope this helped.
A:AnswerThe printer comes with the drum and a starter cartridge assembly. The drum lasts through approximately 12,000 pages printed. I expect the printer will put up a message on the display when the drum needs replacing, or just cleaning. Depending on the cartridges used, you may have to replace the drum after several cartridges or closer to 8 or 9. Just replace the cartridge in the drum assembly till then.
A:AnswerI don’t see how to scan “directly” to a USB drive without attaching the USB drive to your computer, as there’s no USB port on the printer. If you attach a USB flash drive to your computer, you can use the Brother software to set the scan to save the file to the USB drive without also saving it first on your computer. You can also scan to a cloud service.
