Why does this response by Brother exactly contradict multiple other responses by Brother to the exact same question (and information given to me in a chat with Brother earlier today)? What am I to believe and trust? Must I buy and return it to find out?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Inkjet machines like your Brother MFCJ4335DW machine are designed to stop ALL printing operations when any of the ink cartridges are empty. This is to ensure the life of the print head and to maintain premium print quality. If the machine were to continue printing, then print jobs and cleaning cycles would suck air from the empty cartridge and damage the print head. You may receive a message that says "B&W Print only" that will allows you to print/copy only in black, however, is recommended to replace the depleted cartridges to avoid damage to the printhead.
