“Will this printer print black only when a color cartridge is empty?”

• my magenta is empty right now and i cannot get it to print anything at all... :(

• This printer is the worst. I've tried all the hacks to get my printer to print and it will not do so with an empty cartridge. I will never buy another brother again after this as i never use color ink and it's a waste of money to be forced to purchase it to be able to print.
