• This printer prints in black and white but scans in color.

• Juan, Monochromatic means one color only. In this case it is black.

• It will print from black to white and the gray in between. Like a Black and white Photo,

• This is a LASER printer, so only prints in black and white. Pictures can be set to print in grey scale. No color option at all. But toner is really cheap and lasts quite a long time.
