“I purchased this item because I thought that I'd read that I could send faxes via my cell phone however I can't find any instructions as to how this is accomplished. Can faxes in fact be sent and received without having a landline by use of a cell phone?”

No, you require a landline phone to send and receive Fax.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No it cannot send faxes through the phone. You have to use the actual printer to initiate and complete the fax. But with your phone you can utilize the wireless capabilities , AirPrint and Android Print functions.
