• Hey there, yes you would have to make sure that the bulbs always have power for them to be controllable. They are very energy efficient, and when you turn them off via the app or voice assistant, the energy used becomes far less. If you're asking if they have to be plugged into the Smart Plug, then the answer would be no. In fact, we recommend that you don't plug the lamp you're using with our bulbs into the Smart Plug.
