They just sit at the front of the drawer. It is so different from a standard washer you should find a display and really check it out the rack set up s badly designed and really regret buying mine.

There is a silverware basket located in the bottom drawer, but it is removable to allow flexibility when loading your dishwasher. You can see this in the photos on this product page.
