However, the surface burners may be lit with a match. Using extreme caution, hold a lit match near the ports beneath the surface burner cap, then slowly turn the knob to the LITE position. Optional Integrated Cast Iron Grill/Griddle JXCGRILL1 is sold separately. We are sorry to hear of this unfortunate experience with your griddle. You may want to rub it with a bit of oil before you cook your eggs/pancakes. The griddle should be seasoned before first use and after each cleaning. Also, it may be necessary to clean your cast-iron griddle with a stiff brush and hot water. Using soap is not recommended, and do not wash the reversible griddle in the dishwasher. A:AnswerHi GG - Thanks for considering Café Model # CGS700P4MW2! The range does not have child lock for the knobs. Lock Controls feature locks out the control so that pressing the pads does not activate the controls. Café™ 30" Gas Cooktop CGP95302MS1 has Child Lock option. When locked, gas flow to the burners is prevented. Burners will spark if a knob is turned, but will not ignite.
