Hello- We appreciate your interest in our Induction Cooktop. This is a beautiful model! It has a feature that will turn off the burner if it doesn't sense the cookware, but it won't turn off automatically if something in overheating. The feature that we are referring to is called Pan Detection Removal. When a pan is removed from the cooktop surface, Burner level turns off; Power arc starts to blink. If a pan is not detected for 25 seconds, the control turns off automatically, lights turn off. We hope this is helpful. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. We are here to help!
