This model connects to an 8-inch diameter round duct. The distance can vary depending on the installation, but there is a required 24” minimum over electric range or 30” minimum over gas range. The recommended maximum is 36". You can take a look at the Installation Instructions to get a better look at the dimensions and all the space required.
