Hi Amber, We are finding that this unit does in fact come with a temperature probe. We hope you will get a lot of use out of it this holiday season! Our Matte finishes are a highly engineered paint on metal (steel). We recommend that the interior and exterior Matte finish surfaces be treated similar to high-end coatings on automobiles. The Matte White and Matte Black finishes are not engineered for use with soap-filled scouring pads, abrasive cleaners any cleaning product containing chlorine bleach and/or abrasive cloths and paper towels. Use of these types of products may scratch and/or dull the Matte White and Matte Black finish. - In order to avoid scratching or damaging finish surfaces, they should be cleaned with a soft, clean cloth or microfiber cloth, warm water, and a mild soap or detergent solution. The appliance finish surface should then be wiped dry with a soft, clean cloth or microfiber towel to avoid streaking or water spotting. We hope that this helped!
