“I have a 2 part question: Are the sides of the matte white range also white, or a different color? Secondly, is it unsafe to use this stove in a kitchen that is unable to have a vent installed (old home built in 1887).”

Hello Yogi24 - We appreciate your interest in the CHS900P4MW2 and we are happy to help! The sides of the range are not white; this model has textured steel side panels. Vent is recommended, however, it is not required. Please check with your local building codes. Thanks for checking. Olga@Cafe
