Hi Judy - Thanks for considering Café Model # CES750M2NS5! The lower oven has both Traditional Bake and Convection Bake cooking modes so you can choose how you want to bake. Convection cooking modes use increased air circulation to improve performance. You can use the same cookware in both cooking modes. Heavy, deep casserole dishes are not required.
