“On a specification sheet for the GE cafe double wall oven, the cutout is listed as 51 13/16 height with the pedestal and without the pedestal it is 50 1/4. What is the pedestal? Do I need a pedestal? My current cabinet cutout is 50 1/4”

Hey there, thanks so much for reaching out about this fantastic wall oven. New wall ovens are shipped with pedestal rail strips. Use the pedestal when replacing an existing GE branded wall oven. The pedestal can be discarded when replacing a competitor's oven with a shorted cut-out height. We hope this helps. Please let us know if any other questions come up.
