“Can this oven be vented outside? I read a comment that it vented hot air out the bottom into the kitchen.”

No they vent into the kitchen like any electrical oven.

These ovens do come with an internal vent that is located below the door to keep electronics cooler, improve appearance, and provide a better door seal at the top.
