“I received this coffee maker today and both the external and internal boxes have the P65 cancer warning . I have yet to find (in the owners manual, on Cafè website, etc) specifically what the P65 warning is referring to????”

Hello- Thank you for reaching out. Congratulations on your new Coffee Maker. This is a beautiful model! We can understand your concern and are happy to help explain. We comply with federal and state chemical labeling laws. One such law is California Proposition 65, enacted by California in 1986 (Prop 65). This state law requires companies to provide a warning for thousands of consumer products, foods, prescription drugs, alcoholic beverages, enclosed parking facilities, amusement parks, furniture, and other everyday items. The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean the product is unsafe or poses a health risk. Over 800 chemicals are on this list, including wood dust, nickel (found in stainless steel), nicotine, and alcohol. Additionally, even inaccessible parts can cause the warning. We hope this helps!
