- Answer Hi there, thanks for asking! This hood does not come with a duct cover. There are several duct cover kits that are available for this unit; they are as follows: CX8DC9SPWM - 8' High Ceiling Duct Cover Kit, CX10DC9SPWM - 10' High Ceiling Duct Cover Kit, CX12DC9SPWM - 12' High Ceiling Duct Cover Kit. We recommend that the vent hood and duct cover (if used) be on site before final framing and wall finishing. This will help to accurately locate studs, ductwork and electrical service. - Answer Hello - Great question! An 8" round duct is needed for this vent hood. We suggest checking page 11 in the installation instructions for a list of additional materials needed.
