It does have split screen for the Zombies mode and multiplayer. If you want to play online, both people will need the Xbox Live subscriptions. Otherwise, you can create a 2-player split screen game with bots, but there are a lot of issues with that right now. The menus aren't right, the second player needs an Activision account before going into split screen mode, playing with a guest account can crash the game, etc.
