• Both. Need the disc to download the bulk of the game and need the disc inserted to play most content

• Just like previous editions, the disc contains the full game, however you will have to download additional content on order to get the latest updates/patches, etc. The advantage to the disc version is that it reduces the amount of storage used by your console.
