Do not buy this camera. The advertised features are only available with a paid subscription.

Yes this camera was so easy to set up, it connected to my router wirelessly, all I had to do emwas enter my wireless password

It depends what ports you need to have open. Alternatively, you could purchase a different router that allows advanced configuration changes by the user, such as port forwarding.
