Yes this lens is compatible with the Rebel T6i.

Yes it is - using this lens on my Canon 80D - easy & quick to use, focus, lightweight, and change out lens'. Excellent for high school sports shots (ie football, will try soon indoors on basketball) - and wildlife shooting! And quite economical. Use it & enjoy. Well worth the lower price than pricier, heavier lens!
