“Do I need the EF-EOS M adapter in order to use the EF-M 15-45mm lens?”

No. The camera itself has the ability to use all EF-M lenses. You would need an adapter for any EF-S or EF lenses for the Canon M50!

No, you need the adapter if you want to use EF or EF-S lenses. The EF-M lenses fit without the adapter
