• The 24-105 f4 has a constant f4 Aperture so it is faster and brighter. The other 24-105 has a variable aperture which starts at 4 but quickly rises so when you get to 105mm you are at 7.1 so much less light. Also the f4 is a L Series lens which has better build quality. Whether this is worth $1000 more is depending on how you will be using it.
