“is this a good camera to shoot sports with? i currently use a point and shoot but would love to get back into using an SLR. but not sure which one to get. i take a lot of basketball pictures and a lot when we go hiking so it will have to be good for that too.”

The SLR camer is much faster than other digital cameras I've had. takes great action and sports photos.

With this camera, if you get a fast lens, meaning a lens with a maximum aperture of f4 or less, (the smaller the f number the better since the smaller number lets in more light), and by setting the ISO film sensitivity to a higher setting manually, then you can get some good action shots. The lens, in my opinion, is more important than the camera body.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You would need at least the t5i with 5 frames per second. The touch screen will help with autofocusing. If not the t5i, then look into 70d (7 fps) or the 7d mark 2 (10 fps)
