“I always have trouble taking clear action shots in a gym. Would this camera take clear images for sporting events?”

Works great outside the Gym. The lighting makes the action shots in the Gym not clear. It also depends on the lens that you are using. You can see the outside shots that I took, and how clear they came out, using my Nikon D7100 and my 70mm to 300mm lens. The Camera was capable of up to 6 frames per second, while the lens had auto focus capabilities.
