• Yes you can download the software, My computer doesn't have a cd slot either.

• Yes, if you go to the Canon website, you will be able to download what you need. I was able to use the WPS button on my router, which made wireless setup very easy with my Windows 11 computer. No CD required and no direct cable to the printer required if you can use a WPS button on your router.
