While I haven't tried using phot paper yet, here is what the Canon website says about this type issue: https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART175886&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1583587986235 It outlines steps to resolve jamming of some media types. Hope this helps.
