• This printer is a breeze to setup right out of the box. I have not use a cd drive in over a decade and i did not on the setup of the awesome printer. You will love how slick it is to setup and use.

• Yes i was able to set my printer up without using the cd drive. Im unsure if im missing out on any capabilities due to using the cd. I did contact Canon for other questions i had a good experience with customer service
