Is Cannon ink 240 interchangeable with 240XL null

The 240 and the 240XL are interchangeable. The 240XL has more ink in it.

All these "yes" answers. Try it, it doesn't work. I've got a Cannon that uses the 275 Black Cartridge. Bought a 240XL based on this info.....it doesn't fit in the cartridge holder....too tall!
