“I have an error reading 1270 back feed door open but it doesn’t appear to be. I can’t print with this error & no where in the instructions does it tell how to make sure it’s closed?”

I had that same error when I installed my printer. It was frustrating to cure as the instructions were not very clear. In the rear paper feed area, there is a translucent plastic strip (cover) with a small roller in the center. Mine was flipped up in the position to add paper to the rear hopper. The rear cover needs to be flipped down.

Please try again later.I looked at mine and if everything is working properly, it should be real easy to check door...that back feeder is only used, I think, for photos....check your print preferences and the feeder preferences...easiest way is to use cassette....if you still have the trouble, go to canon site for support with that error code
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Possibly take a look at the rear paper tray. There is a door there that must be shut for the printer to operate. Mine is plastic and was hard to see.
