It copies in only a few seconds. I have had the experience that it takes FOREVER to print a page that's tightly packed with copy, such as an instruction page to a tax document for example. One thing that is truly annoying about this printer is that the menu window is not backlit. If you want to change settings, you basically have to have a headlamp on.
