• I dont know about the black ink printing if it runs out of ink. I've never run out of ink!! As for the printing of spread sheets. Yes it will print spread sheets (such as MS Excel). However, so far I have not found where it will print larger than 8.5 X 11 sheets. But then again, I've never need to do that. I print on CD's and DVD's and it will print to those.
