- Answer yes you do but it doesnt have to be a landline phone, your cell number will also be your cannon fax number and youll use wi-fi to execute the fax transmission

- Answer Yes, I just did it today.... just put the docs in the top fold out tray and hit scan. The printer does the rest.

QuestionDoes this printer work with MAC's? Also, are you able to elect to print only in B/W if you don't want to use color?

- Answer Yes to both questions. I am not printing from a Mac, but I saw the setup instructions for Mac while installing. There is an option for B/W and grayscale as well as color.

QuestionAm I able to print labels with this printer? Will the labels feed properly through the feeder? My current Canon Pixma will not accept the labels. It ejects the paper. I print labels for DIY products and for mailing. Thank you.

- Answer Depends how you scan it, you have the option to scan each page as an individual document and save it as pdf or as collective scan of one document saved as pdf.

- Answer Hi Sarah, This printer comes with a set of starter combo of 1 Color and 1 Black cartridge, however, I did purchase a set of cartridges for the printer as the box didn't specify if it came with them or not. I bought the Cannon 246 Color, and 245 Black.

QuestionWhere do you load the blank paper for printing? Does it have a concealed tray or does it have to stick upright out the rear.

- Answer Tray folds down in the front. The tray only protrudes about 4 1/2 inches because paper is stored half way under the printer. You can pull the tray out further and it clicks into another position to accommodate envelopes or larger paper.
