• Yes you can print directly from your smart phones to the Canon TR8520 printer. You have to select the picture you want to print. Once you do that, hit the print button down below on your smart phone. When you hit that button, the "select printer" option should pop up. Then you select the Canon TR8500 Series. As a side note, you can identify the printer from this same set of instructions. When you identify it from your phone, you will hear your printer beep.

• Sure you can use both. As long as you've connected printer to your network you can print off WiFi and your PC should recognize printer as a physical connection since connected via USB.
