A:Answer If there is a paper jam, which I rarely encounter even with operating two of these printers, there is a back panel that comes off for access. The scanner unit also hinges upward to get to the workings of the printer as well as change inks so between these two places, you should be able to get at any jam. From the bottom of the printer, there is only the paper feed tray. There is a possibility that a jam could occur and leave part of the page visible from underneath if you remove the feed tray, but you would also be able to access that page from the removable back panel. It is my opinion that you shouldn't ever need to lift the printer to remove any type of jam.
