Yes, you can set it up through "tools" to automatically put the date stamp on the photos.

Please try again later.I know the camera does have for the date because i did not reprogram it but i did go through the sections to make sure i understood most of the camera before i went on my trip. i believe i did see timestamping as well, if you chose to set it. I was not happy with my purchase as my camera did not make it through day 2 of my 5 day trip. The shutter lens is stuck on mine. I really thought the camera would be better quality than it seems to be for me.
