No it takes real good clear pictures. There are lots of options that you can choose to clear the picture up if it comes out blurry. I know one option is Auto or program. If you use Auto it then does lots of different things like stabilize, zoom and other things before it snaps the picture, Don't worry it does this really fast and you dont even notice it is doing it.
