• You have to buy the cable separately, that was a down side to getting this camera.

• The cable that comes with iPad can be used to connect directly to a Mac. The necessary software is iTunes, which I'm quite certain is already on every Mac that is made.

• You should be able to take the SD card out of the camera and plug it into your iMac's SD card slot. Photos should recognize the photos and videos and move them to your iMac.
