A:AnswerThe lens is marked as a "50X Optical Zoom". It is also marked "4.3-215.0mm". It also has a 4X Digital Zoom in addition to the optical - a virtual 200X image, but you lose a lot of quality and detail with the digital zoom.
A:AnswerEva,
Please see the attached photo with accessories indicated. The camera has a one-year Canon manufacturer. I really take a lot of work related photos and like the camera. The optical and digital zoom lens are excellent.
A:AnswerI don't recommend this camera for action photos because the shutter speed is too slow to capture those special milliseconds; but the video quality is good.
A:AnswerYes, this camera has a very strong battery life. Should last all day. Just make sure you charge up completely the day before. Take a good camera case not too large to have your charger ready & extra SD card too. Have a Great trip to Ireland!
A:AnswerNo. You must buy your own. I have a travel case with a handle I am using at the moment and wrap a towel around it until I find a camera case I like and can afford. As with any camera, I would find the best case to protect it if you will be hiking and jostling around. That's a lot of money invested not to do so. Actually like what I have but will eventually buy a case. And I think you would actually have to see and feel the camera to get an idea of how it may handle and stand up.
