“Can you make a video AND at same time take still shots from what you're recording? If yes, where is that setting on the camera to do that?”

• unfortunately no....once you start video taping and hit the shutter button it will take a picture, but also it will stop the recording at that point.

• I see nothing in the manual about it. Maybe just pressing the shutter button while recording?

• I have not tried it, but I believe you can select one frame from a video and use it as a still picture.
