“Why can't I transfer my pictures with a USB connection? No software with camera!! I do not wish to us Wifi to transfer my pictures to my home pc. I have a Laptop and a home computer and I just want to be able to plug in my USB cord directly from my camera and load them directly into the computer of my choice. The camera did not come with any software and the computers do not recognize the camera using a USB connection. HELP!! I use this camera as an Appraiser and I assume I now have to either download software from Cannon or by a card reader if they still exist?? The camera is a Canon SX610 HS”

I was able to plug it directly into my HP laptop, via the A/V Out Digital input on the side of the camera, and view the files. There was no download required.

Please try again later.I transfer mine this way, not sure what is going on with yours but my computer recognized and loaded software and I answered questions what to do with pictures and when I plug in now it downloads quickly. Mine did not come with cord but I had one from older camera.
